Mysuru: As part of Children’s Day, All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) in collaboration with Mysore Race Club (MRC) Eye Hospital, a service project of the Mysore Race Club Charitable Trust (MRCCT), had organised a special eye health screening camp at AIISH premises in city recently.
A total of 398 specially-abled children underwent comprehensive eye screening during the camp. Free eye-care support including eye drops, guidance and preventive-care advice was provided to all the beneficiaries.
The medical guidance and counselling was led by Dr. Ganesh Sathyamurthy, Vitreoretinal Surgeon, who emphasised the importance of early detection, regular vision check-ups and parental awareness in ensuring better eye health outcomes for children with special needs.
AIISH officials thanked the Mysore Race Club Charitable Trust for its continued support and expressed that such collaborative initiatives play a key role in improving the quality of life of specially-abled children.
