Sri Nadabrahma Sangeeta Sabha has organised the following two concerts for this weekend: On Mar. 5 at 6 pm, youth artiste programme sponsored by Madhuri Thathachari. K. Aathreyee Krishnaa – vocal, C.V. Shruthi – violin, Sai Shiva Lakshmi Keshav – mridanga and Shamith Gowda – ghata.

Aathreyee Krishnaa, who hails from Karkala, is an emerging talent in the field of Karnatak Music. She is the daughter of Poornima and Dr. S.R. Aruna Kumara. Currently she is studying her B.Sc degree in Alva’s College, Moodabidri.

On Mar. 6 at 6 pm, Parur Parampare Guruvandana to Parur Sundaram Iyer, Parur M.S. Ananta Raman & Parur M.S. Gopalakrishnan. Sponsored by H.K. Narasimha Murthy. Malladi Suri Babu – vocal, Mysore V. Srikanth – violin, Tumkur B. Ravishankar – mridanga and Sharath Kaushik – ghata.

Malladi Suri Babu is a Karnatak vocalist and musician from Vijayawada. He was conferred with Kala Ratna, a civilian honour by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 2013 and TTK Award by Madras Music Academy in 2014. He is the disciple of Voleti Venkateshwarulu, Sripada Pinakapani and Nedunuri Krishnamurthy. Suri Babu is the father of vocalist duo Malladi Brothers and vocalist Malladi Vasavi.
