The MDES celebrated Teacher’s Day for the teachers of St.Joseph’s and St.Matthais Institutions at St.Philomena’s indoor auditorium in Bannimantap.  Rev. Dr. K.A. Williams, Bishop of Mysore and President of MDES, presided. Rev.Msgr.Leslie Moras, Apostolic Vicar General for Health and Education, Diocese of Mysore and Rev.Fr. Vijay Kumar, Secretary and Correspondent, MDES, spoke. Rev.Msgr.C.Rayappa,Vicar General, Mysore Diocese, Rev.Fr. Bernard Prakash, Rectar and Manager, St.Philomena’s, Autonomous College and PG Centre, Rev. Father James D., Financial Administrator, Mysore Diocesan, Prof. Mani Mathew, CEO, St.Joseph’s Colleges, Joyce Lobo, CEO, St.Joseph’s and St.Matthais Schools, Rev.Fr.Praveen Kumar, Priest Incharge of St.Joseph’s and St.Matthais School and Rev. Fr.Jomi C J., Principal, St.Joseph’s School, Jayalakshmipuram were present on the occasion. Teachers who attained superannuation were honoured on the occasion. Various competitions like collage-making and badge-making were conducted for the teachers followed by games.
