Nanjappa (93), a resident of Basavattige village in the taluk, passed away at a private hospital in Mysuru yesterday.

He leaves behind his wife Puttamma, four sons including Chamarajanagar industrialists Basavaraju and Srikantamurthy, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were held at the family’s farm land in Basavattige village this afternoon, according to family sources.
