Mysuru: K.Jayaprakash Rao, a  PR expert and former Regional PRO of DRDO, was conferred the Excellence Award for exemplary service rendered in the field of PR and youth training over three  decades at the recently concluded National Global Summit of Communicators held in Jaipur.

B.N. Kumar, Chairman, All India PR Council of India,  presented the award.

Sunil Arora, Chief Election Commissioner of India, was the chief guest at the inaugural function.

Presently,  Rao is involved in professional training programmes at Police Academy in Mysuru and Bank Training Colleges in Karnataka. He is the author of Agniya Rekkegalu, Kannada autobiography of Dr. Abdul Kalam  and one more book Kalam Jeevana Dharma.
