Mysore/Mysuru: Regretting that the new generation is forgetting our rich culture and heritage of the past, MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar said that the youths should remember our ancestors.

He was speaking after inaugurating the felicitation, Pratibha Puraskar and student scholarship distribution programme, organised jointly by Hoysala Karnataka Sangha and Hoysala Karnataka Sangha Charitable Trust as part of its Founders Day at Saptapadi Kalyana Mantapa in Vijayanagar first stage here yesterday.

“The Hoysala community has maintained its special celebrations, practices and culture. The community is also known for its hospitality and pride. Also, the community has maintained a distinctive style of attitude and spoken language,” Yaduveer said.

Noting that the Hoysala Karnataka community has been maintaining harmony with all other communities, the MP said that the community has contributed a lot for the growth of the country. The community has also maintained a cordial relationship with Mysore Palace for generations, he added.
