New Rich Vastrabharana expo inaugurated in city

New Rich Vastrabharana, an expo-cum-sale of handloom products and other materials, was inaugurated as part of Varalakshmi Festival in city recently.

The expo was inaugurated by MLA Ramdas at Jayamma Govindegowda Kalyana Mantap on Udayaravi Road in Kuvempunagar. Apart from handloom, dress materials, sarees, bedsheets, razai, kurthis, sofa covers, khadi materials, chikan work embroidery and kalamkari sarees from West Bengal, Rajastan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Lucknow, Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and other places are on display and sale at the expo. The expo is open from 10 am to 9 pm till Aug. 7.
