New traffic regulations on Krishnavilas & Thyagaraja roads

One-way rule comes into effect

Mysore/Mysuru: In order to facilitate smooth vehicular movement, the City Police have introduced new traffic regulations on Thyagaraja and Krishnavilas roads in the heart of the city with immediate effect.

The stretch from Ramavilas road junction (D. Banumaiah junction) to Veene Seshanna road junction (Dalvoy School junction) on Thyagaraja road has been made one way and  accordingly, movement of all types of vehicles from Northern side towards Southern side on this stretch of the road has been banned. As an alternative route, vehicles moving on Ramavilas road will have to take a right turn at New Sayaji Rao road junction, take right turn at B. Rachaiah Circle and move on Veene Seshanna road to reach Dalvoy School junction.

Secondly, the stretch from Javagal Srinath junction to DC office junction on Krishnavilas road has been converted  into one-way  and accordingly, movement of all types of vehicles from Eastwards to Westwards on this stretch of the road has been banned.

As an alternative route, vehicles are required to travel through Javagal Srinath junction-JLB road-D. Devaraj Urs road junction-Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa Circle-Left turn -Mysuru-Hunsur road- Hunsur road arch gate-Left turn to reach the Deputy Commissioner’s office.

Another route for vehicles travelling from Javagal Srinath Junction towards DC office is — Javagal Srinath Junction- JLB road- M.N. Jois Circle- Right turn- Radhakrishna Marg- Kautilya Circle- Right turn- Deputy Commissioner’s office.
