One-Man Judicial Commission Office at Kumara Krupa Guest House

July 31, 2024

Mysore/Mysuru: The One-Man Judicial Inquiry Commission that was established to investigate the alleged irregularities in MUDA site allocation process involving a 50:50 ratio scheme has set up an Office at the Kumara Krupa Guest House in Bengaluru.

The Commission is headed by retired Karnataka High Court Justice P.N. Desai. To facilitate the inquiry, officials have arranged the necessary infrastructure at the Kumara Krupa Guest House, including furniture, computers, internet, printers, scanners, stationery, file storage racks, DTP operators, and assistants.

Yesterday, MUDA Commissioner and the Superintending Engineer were summoned to Bengaluru for a meeting with Justice Desai.

During the meeting, the judge reviewed the scam’s details and directed the officials to provide all necessary documents upon request. Additionally, relevant officers and staff are to be made available for questioning as the investigation proceeds.

The State Government is expected to issue a formal notification regarding the Commission’s investigation within the next two days, marking the formal start of the inquiry.

This follows a previous investigation by a four-member committee led by senior IAS Officer Venkatachalapathy, which conducted a ten-day review at the MUDA Office.

However, the government later dissolved this committee and transferred the investigation responsibility to the current One-Man Judicial Commission.
