Dr. Pankaj Dwivedi, Officer In-Charge, National Testing Service-India (NTS-I), Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysuru, inaugurated the five-day online Training-cum-workshop on Testing and Evaluation and Item Writing for Hindi Research Scholars on Nov. 22 at CIIL. Briefing about the objectives of the workshop, he said that to become a better and balanced teacher, knowledge of the content and proper scientific tools & techniques, and evaluation methods is a must. He said that this workshop will provide the teachers with solutions to deal with both the common difficulties and specific issues faced while teaching and evaluating the student’s performance in classrooms and examinations.
Prof. Chand Kiran Saluja, formerly of Delhi University; Prof. M. Gnanam, formerly of CHI, Mysuru; Prof. R.S. Sarraju, Department of Hindi, University of Hyderabad; NTS-I faculties Dr. Biresh Kumar, Dr. Sanjay Prasad Srivastava and Dr. M. Narayana Reddy and Technical JRPs Amit Kumar Jha and N. Kashyap will train the participants. Dr. Sanjay Prasad Srivastava and Dr. M. Narayana Reddy (both Junior Resource Persons-Hindi), compered and proposed vote of thanks respectively. Dr. Pankaj Dwivedi is coordinating this workshop while Prof. Shailendra Mohan, Director, CIIL, is the overall patron. About 50 scholars, who are pursuing their research in Hindi (language, literature and linguistics) from various Universities and Colleges of India, are participating in this online training.
