Pandavapura female foeticide case: One more arrested for  facilitating racket

Pandavapura: Pandavapura Police have arrested another suspect in connection with the female foeticide (illegal abortion) case. He has been sent to judicial custody. The accused, identified as Umesh from Hiremarali village in the taluk, was involved in facilitating illegal abortions at a guest house located behind the Taluk Health Officer’s Office in Pandavapura.

According to the Police, Umesh identified women seeking abortions and introduced them to Shruthi and Asha, who had already been arrested and sent to jail.

Recently, a woman from Devegowdanakoppal underwent an illegal abortion, which took place at Umesh’s house. Acting on available clues, a Police team, led by Sub-Inspector R.B. Umesh, arrested the accused and handed him over to judicial custody.
