Mandya: A Pathologist suffered a heart attack while on duty and died at the hospital yesterday morning.

The deceased is Dr. Nishanth Kumar, a Pathologist at Sri Chamundeshwari Hospital.

Dr. Nishanth, who was working at the hospital yesterday morning, suffered a heart attack and collapsed on the floor. Though the doctors at the hospital rushed to his aid and provided treatment, Dr. Nishanth breathed his last at the hospital.

A native of Haleboodanur, Dr. Nishanth was residing with his parents B.C. Shankar and Sulochana at Chamundeshwari Nagar in Mandya.

Last rites were held at Haleboodanur last evening.
