Mysore/Mysuru: People For Animals (PFA), Mysuru, will be conducting a free anti-rabies vaccination camp for street dogs on July 12.

This initiative aims to protect the stray dog population from rabies and contribute to a healthier and safer community for animals and humans.

The vaccination drive will take place in the following designated areas: J.P. Nagar, Ashokapuram, Vidyaranyapuram and Railway Station premises.

A team of dedicated veterinarian and veterinary assistants from PFA Mysuru will be on-site to administer the vaccinations.

All street dogs in these locations are eligible to receive free anti-rabies shots, stated a press release from PFA Mysuru.

“Rabies is a preventable disease and vaccination is the most effective way to control rabies. By vaccinating street dogs, we are not only safeguarding their well-being but also protecting the wider community. We encourage residents in the designated areas to support our efforts by allowing our teams to access the street dogs,” the release added.

PFA Mysuru has been actively involved in animal welfare for many years, providing shelter, care and medical attention to sick and abandoned animals. This vaccination camp is a                 crucial step in their ongoing commitment to promoting animal health and responsible co-existence.
