M. Kushala has been awarded Ph.D in Zoology by University of Mysore, Mysuru, for her thesis ‘Use of Crustacean zooplankton species culture as a live feed for the growth of Catla catla, Labeo rohita, Cirrhinus mrigala and Hilsa ilisha in Mysuru district, Karnataka State, India’ [Guide: Prof. M.  Mahadevaswamy].
