Police nab house burglar

Gold, silver worth Rs. 7.35 lakh recovered

Mysore/Mysuru: The Mysuru District Crime Detection Squad personnel have arrested a house burglar and have recovered gold ornaments and silver articles worth Rs. 7.35 lakh from him.

On Jan. 15, burglary had occurred at the house of Jayanna at Goddanapura in Nanjangud taluk. The burglar had decamped with 184 grams gold ornaments, 70 grams silver articles and one mobile phone, all worth Rs. 9.65 lakh.

Nanjangud Rural Police, who had registered a case began investigation and the District Crime Detection Squad personnel, led by Additional Superintendent Police L. Nagesh conducted an operation, traced the accused and arrested him on July 4. They recovered 99 grams gold ornaments and 67 grams silver articles worth Rs. 7,35,000 from him.

SP N. Vishnuvardhan and ASP L. Nagesh guided ASI Satish and staff Abdul Lathif, Bhaskar and Ashok in the nabbing and recovery operation.
