Prof. P.J. Gervasis (78), retired faculty of the Botany Department at St. Philomena’s College and a resident of Udayagiri, passed away at a private hospital in city this morning.

He leaves behind his wife retired Professor A.C. Maryamma, daughter Dr. Alphonso and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral mass will be held at St. Theresa of Kolkata Church in Rajivnagar at 3.30 pm today followed by the burial at Mount Carmel Church Cemetery in  Kamanakerehundi near Ring Road at 5 pm, according to family sources.
