Mysore/Mysuru: Deputy Chief Minister (Dy.CM) Dr. Ashwathnarayan participated virtually in the award distribution ceremony of QS I.GAUGE Indian Colleges and University Rating to JSS Institutions held at Sri Suttur Mutt in city recently.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that JSS Institutions always excelled in quality and strived for quality benchmarking. He appreciated the efficient contributions of JSS Institutions for the development of the society as whole. He requested Swamiji to start educational institutions in other parts of Karnataka to support quality education.
Co-operation and District Minister S.T. Somashekar distributed awards to institution heads. He lauded JSS for providing education and job opportunities to rural masses and appreciated the support given by JSS Management towards controlling COVID-19 by providing excellent medical facilities to the society.
Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji advised all JSS Institutions to grow by setting higher goals. He also said that parents today are more concerned about quality education and to make their children into socially responsible citizens. He appreciated QS for the support and guidance provided to JSS institutions in benchmarking quality standards in all services.
JSS Mahavidyapeetha Executive Secretary Dr. C.G. Betsurmath stated that JSS Institutions had worked hard and with dedication to achieve this rating and mentioned that QS I.GAUGE Rating system considered individual performance of institutions. Dr. B. Suresh, Pro-Chancellor of JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER), mentioned in his address that JSS AHER being ranked among the top Universities in India, other institutions of JSS Mahavidyapeetha should also strive to achieve premier position and fulfil Swamiji’s ideals.
Dr. Ashwin Fernandes, CEO, QS-ERA India, Pvt. Ltd., appreciated the commitment of JSS Institutions towards quality initiatives and congratulated them for successfully completing the QS I.GAUGE Rating process.

Methodology and execution of QS I.GAUGE meets the international quality standards of QS. The process is under the purview of the QS Intelligence Unit, London.
Parameters considered for QS I.GAUGE Rating is Teaching & Learning, Faculty Quality, Employability, Students Diversity, Facilities, Social Responsibilities, Faculty Diversity, Entrepreneurship, Research and Arts & Culture. After assessment, institutes are awarded with an overall rating ranging from Bronze to Diamond+, depending on number of points achieved through evaluation.
