Ragi Mudde machine: H.D. Deve Gowda was the inspiration

July 17, 2017

Sir,

Kudos to the Director, CSIR-CFTRI, for his wise choice to invite H.D. Deve Gowda to launch Ragi Mudde making machine. It was he who launched the much-hyped ragi mudde as an international cuisine when he was the Prime Minister.

If my memory is correct, as a retired scientist, this is the first time as an ex-PM that Deve  Gowda entered the portals of  CFTRI, despite his umpteen visits to Mysuru through his long and ever-busy political career. As such, it is a pleasant surprise to Mysureans that at last the latest Ragi Mudde making machine is destined to be launched by the son of the soil H.D. Deve Gowda. Again it was he who rightly appealed with forethought, the scientists of CFTRI to develop drought-resistant food crops to withstand the ever-threatening water shortage in the years to come.

Kudos to the team of scientists for their innovative spirits which resulted in the launching of piping hot Ragi Mudde making machine to make large scale preparation of the food item.
