Rangayana Director regrets failure in meeting Constitutional aspirations

February 9, 2020

Mysore/Mysuru: Regretting that we have failed in giving an administration that meets the Constitutional aspirations even after seven decades of Independence, Rangayana Director Addanda C. Cariappa said that at the same time, it is disgusting to note that we have given space for the ideologies propagated by divisive forces (Tukde-Tukde gang).

He was speaking after launching the online edition of city-based Kannada daily ‘Sadhvi’ at the Institution of Engineers-India (IEI) on JLB Road here yesterday.

Stating that post-Independence, there has been much debate on Fundamental Rights, Cariappa observed that, however, most sections of the Constitution is yet to be discussed.

Noting that it was left ideology and not one party or a  leader, that has ruled the country for most part in 70 years post-Independence, he regretted that we are yet to introduce an education system from where we can build a better society.

Pointing out that the Centre has released Rs.15 lakh funds for sensitising the public about the principles of the Constitution, he said that this clearly means that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Constitution is yet to be fully understood and implemented.

Stating that he comes from a Kodava family of Armymen, Cariappa said that he feels extremely thrilled whenever he talks about the country.

Pointing out that it is disgusting to note that anyone who raises ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ slogan is often seen as communal, he rued that we are yet to understand what the Universities are teaching to students in campuses.

Claiming that a section of the Media is falsely projecting CAA, NPR and NPC as against the Constitution, when in fact they are boon to the country, the Rangayana Director wondered what this section of the Media can be called for false propaganda about the Citizenship Laws.

Alleging that a section of the Media is dividing families just for the sake of enhancing their TRP ratings, he also charged them to keep the tussle going on, through unrealistic and false propaganda.

Wondering whether foisting left ideals forcefully on the society is ‘Patrika Dharma,’ he said that the people of the country were yearning all these years for a ruler who can work for them.

Now the seven-decade old wish of the people has been fulfilled with a working and agile Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the helm of affairs, taking the country in the right direction.

Maintaining that the country has suffered a lot all these years because of Nehru’s follies, Cariappa said that it was fortunate that PM Modi is rectifying Nehruvian mistakes. He also questioned the integrity of Journalists who were day-in and out criticising Modi unfairly and unnecessarily.

Sudharma Sanskrit daily Editor couple K.V. Sampath Kumar and Vijayalakshmi, who were awarded ‘Padma Shri’ this year, were honoured on the occasion.

Star of Mysore Chief Reporter S.T. Ravikumar and other journalists — Bannur K. Raju, K.J. Lokesh Babu (General Secretary, Mysuru District Journalists Association), B. Raghavendra and Chandrasekhar — and senior Newspaper agent ‘Paper’ Subbanna were also felicitated.

All India RSS Saha Prachara Pramukh Narendra Thakur, MDJA President C.K. Mahendra, ‘Sadhvi’ Editor C. Maheshwaran and others were present.
