Mysore/Mysuru: Rangayana has invited applications from the artistes interested to be a part of its plays and theatre-related activities. The artistes will be selected on a temporary basis, in compliance with Rangayana’s rules and regulations. The age group must be 22 to 35 years.

According to Rangayana Deputy Director Dr. M.D. Sudarshan, Rangayana, being the official repertory established by the State Government, has its office in the premises of Kalamandira. The repertory is involved in providing theatre education, theatre training, preparation for plays, organising exhibition, theatre camps and various other theatre activities, going on for past 36 years.

Priority in selection will be given to those artistes, with a degree from National School of Drama (NSD) or any degree, diploma in Theatre Education from the Theatre Training Centre or Degree or PG degree in Drama, from any State Universities.

Applications may be submitted to the Director, Rangayana, Vinobha Road, Mysuru-570005 before Sept. 1. The date of interview will be intimated later.  Application format can be downloaded from website rangayanamysore.karnataka.gov.in

Following documents may be submitted at the time of interview: Birth Certificate, NSD or Diploma Certificate, experience letter from Theatre Education Centre, a self-written letter of experience in the field of theatre with relevant documents and Aadhaar card, stated the press release.
