Mysore/Mysuru:  Dr. K. Santosh of city received the Gold Medal from President Droupadi Murmu for his excellent performance in M.Ch course in Urology, during the Annual Convocation held at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar, yesterday. 

After doing his MBBS from Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS), Dr. Santosh did his M.S. in General Surgery from AIIMS, Delhi  and later joined AIIMS, Bhubaneswar for M.Ch course in Urology. 

After serving as an Assistant Professor at JIPMER, Pondicherry he is currently serving as an Urologist at Aster Hospital, Whitefield, Bengaluru.

He is the son of R. Kumaraswamy, a retired Canara Bank Manager and Suvarna Kumaraswamy couple, residents of Bank Colony at Bogadi, according to a press release.
