Inspired by the iconic elephant heads statue installed at Highway Circle, a fibre replica of four elephant heads will now adorn Ramaswamy Circle in city as part of beautifying Mysuru for Dasara. The fibre replica is done by artist Mahadev Suttur, who created the original statue in Bannimantap. Each elephant head with raised trunk is 4 ft. tall and 3 ft. wide. Mahadev Suttur said that the fibre replica can withstand sun and rain and can last 60 to 70 years. He hoped that the authorities concerned may retain the fibre replica after Dasara also.
A model of a temple is also coming up near Ramaswamy Circle. The temple model which resembles Sri Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi Hill, is 20 ft. tall and 30 ft. wide and is being made using thermocol and iron frames. There are plans to keep a photo or an idol of Goddess Chamundeshwari inside the Temple, which is created by Mahadev Suttur and Kishore Rachaiah-led artist team.
