Mysore/Mysuru: Reaching Out To Animals (ROTA), in association with People For Animals (PFA), Mysuru, conducted a free animal medical camp at Maratikyathanahalli, Jayapura Hobli on Saturday (Dec. 24) from 7 am.

ROTA and PFA have conducted several campaigns since its inception, with the frequency of once in every six months. The total number of animals treated in yesterday’s camp was 353 including 185 cows, 78 sheep, 90 goats and 7 dogs. De-worming medication, wound-healing sprays and ointments, anti-diarrhoeal medicines and multivitamin supplements were distributed free of cost.

While dogs were administered anti-rabies vaccines, cows were given mineral supplements. Liquid de-worming medicine was provided to sheep and goats, apart from wound-healing ointments and sprays. 183 local villagers turned up with their respective animals, making it a successful camp.

Also, ROTA and PFA are moving forward together to scale up their ideas to save animals. They are committed to bringing more animals and people into their fold, by enhancing their campaigning and networking in the years to come.
