S.A. Tirunarayan Iyengar (98), retired Head Master of D. Banumaiah Boys High School and a resident of Kuvempunagar, passed away yesterday morning in city.

He leaves behind his children including daughter S.T.  Ananthalakshmi, who had also served as the Head Mistress of D. Banumaiah Boys High School and a host of relatives and friends.

Tirunarayan Iyengar, who worked as a teacher for many years, served as the Head Master from 1975 to 1978                                            before retiring.

Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill yesterday afternoon, according to school sources.

The Management, teaching and non-teaching staff of the school have condoled the death of Tirunarayan Iyengar.
