Sangeethotsava to mark birth anniversary

Commemorating Ganayogi Pt. PanchaksharaGawai’s 130th birth anniversary celebrations, Sri Guru Puttaraja Sangeetha (SGPS) Sabha, Mysuru, has organised ‘Sangeethotsava’ (Music Festival) at Sri Guru Puttaraja Sangeetha Vidyalayaon  Udayaravi Road in Kuvempunagar at 5 pm today (Feb. 2).

Senior musician Vidu. Sharada Bhat Kattige will inaugurate the Music Fest. Corporator and SGPS Sabha Hon. President M.V. Ramaprasad will preside. Art patron S.B. JagadishBabu and tablistDr.KalmeshaBadigera will be the chief guests. H.M. Shilpa will compere.

Music programmes include tabla solo by Rajatapranava, Mysuru, VachanaGayana by Santhosh Hugar, Gadag and Classical Vocal Concert by Dr.ChethanaPattar (Music Lecturer, KSGH Music University, Mysuru). Accompanists are MrutyunjayaHiremath, Mysuru on harmonium and BheemashankarBidanur, Mysuru and Dr.KalmeshBadigera, Mysuru on tabla.
