Mysuru: Marking the completion of four years of the Congress government in Karnataka led by Chief Minister Siddharamaiah, the State Government will organise a division-level mass programme to distribute facilities to beneficiaries on June 3.

All Deputy Commissioners and Zilla Panchayat CEOs from eight districts coming under Mysuru Division (Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Udupi, Chikkamagaluru, Dakshina Kannada and Hassan) are participating in the meeting. The State has been divided into four divisions and the first ‘Sarakari Soulabhya Vitarana Sambhrama’ was held at Chitradurga on May 13 and similar events will be held at other divisions.

Officials from Mysuru including Regional Commissioner M.V. Jayanthi, DC D. Randeep, ZP CEO Shivashankar, Assistant Commissioner Shivegowda, Tahsildar T. Ramesh Babu and other officers are attending.

At the event on June 3, facilities from Mysuru City Corporation, District Administration, Mysuru Urban Development Authority, Chamundeshwari Electricity Company, Women and Child Development Department, Disabled Welfare Department, Tribal Development Department and others will be distributed.

Facilities include the distribution of 65 CA sites for institutions by MUDA, laptops for meritorious students, bicycle, uniforms and textbook distribution, subsidies for farmers’ pump-sets, loan facilities for women entrepreneurs, tricycles for physically challenged and financial assistance for roadside vendors.

Addressing the officers, Minister Mahadevappa claimed that the government had fulfilled 155 of the 165 promises that have been listed in its election manifesto and the government has achieved the distinction of a hunger-free State where the constitutional concept of ‘right to live’ has been implemented effectively.
