Mysuru: The UG and PG Department of Physics, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of St. Philomena’s College, Bannimantap, Mysuru, organised a Science model-making competition and exhibition, attracting enthusiastic participation of students from various institutions.
The event was coordinated by Dr. C.N. Sachin (PG Department of Physics) and saw the presentation of over 40 innovative scientific models prepared by students from St. Philomena’s College and other affiliated Colleges under the University of Mysore.
The exhibition witnessed an overwhelming response, with more than 500 students visiting and exploring the creative exhibits. Apart from Physics, the exhibition also featured active participation from other Departments, including Criminology and Forensic Science, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry and more.

One of the highlights was the demonstration of the chemistry behind bread-making, where students showcased their expertise in food chemistry, blending science with culinary art.
The exhibition provided a platform for students to demonstrate their scientific temperament, creativity and innovation, fostering interdisciplinary learning and collaboration.
