Noted theatre person R. Lingaraju (Bala), known by his screen name Bala Rajwadi, has been selected for this year’s CGK theatre award. The award, instituted by Nele Hinnele in memory of noted Theatre Director C.G. Krishnaswamy  (CGK), carries a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and citation.  Every year, the award is presented to mark CGK’s birth anniversary.  Lingaraju has been involved in theatre activities for the past 25 years. Besides plays, he has featured in about 160 movies.
