Seminar on ‘Save Constitution’ held

Mysuru:  Dalit Pragathipara Sanghatanegala Okkuta, marking the birth anniversary of Buddha-Basavanna-Ambedkar had organised a seminar and interaction on ‘Save Constitution’ at the     premises of Kunchitigara Sangha in Devaraja Mohalla here yesterday.

Speaking on the occasion Social Activist P. Mallesh opined that communal feelings were rampant across the country and added that people in power were trying to misinterpret and misrepresent the facts mentioned in the Indian Constitution. He asserted that nothing can be changed which are listed in the Constitution.

He observed that harassment of dalits was going on unabated which was a burning issue needing drastic action.

Writer Dr. K. Marulasiddappa inaugurated the event and spoke on political challenges during election.

Writer S.G. Siddharamaiah, Kalegowda Nagavara, Media Advisor Dinesh Aminmattu and leader of various organisations were present.
