Mysuru: City’s Special POCSO Court has sentenced a man for four years imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 25,000 for sexually assaulting a minor girl.

The accused is M. Mohan of Bengaluru. He (Mohan) had befriended the minor girl on facebook and later came to her house and sexually assaulted  her besides harassing her mentally and sexually.

Based on the complaint by the minor girl’s parents, Vijayanagar Police, who had registered a case, conducted investigation and had submitted a charge-sheet to the Court.

Judge B.S. Jayashree, who heard the arguments from both sides, found the accused guilty of the crime and sentenced him to jail besides imposing a fine. Special Public Prosecutor B.C. Shivarudraswamy argued on behalf of the Government.
