Dist. Minister holds preliminary meeting

Chamarajanagar: In the context of Shivarathri Jathra Mahotsava to be held from Feb.12 to 16 at M.M. Hills in Kollegal taluk, a preliminary meeting was held at DC’s office here recently.

Presiding over the meeting, District in-Charge Minister Dr. Geetha Mahadevaprasad observed that the number of devotees visiting M.M. Hills Temple had increased tremendously and hence sought good facilities like drinking water, accommodation and food. She asked officials to also focus on sanitation, good toilets and proper arrangements for darshan at the temple.

Speaking on the occasion, DC B. Ramu said that the road widening work and renovation of bus stand was underway in Kollegal. He requested KSRTC officials to ply buses directly from other places to avoid congestion at the bus stand.

MLA R. Narendra, Sri Guru Swamiji of Salur Mutt, ZP CEO Dr. K. Harish Kumar, KSRTC Divisional Controller Ashok Kumar, M.M. Hills Development Authority Secretary A.J. Roopa, Officer Basavaraj, Asst. Commissioner Fauzia Taranum and others attended the meeting.
