Sri Krishna Gana Sabha celebrates 24th Anniversary

The three-day 24th annual  celebrations of Sri Krishna Gana Sabha were inaugurated at Alwar Kala Bhavan in Gokulam 3rd Stage on Feb. 27 by Dr. N. Chandrashekar of Aadithya Adhikari Hospital by lighting the traditional lamp. Birth anniversary of legendary violinist Piteelu Chowdiah was celebrated by showering flowers on his portrait in the presence of Sabha President B.S. Sridhara Raj Urs. It was followed by a grand violin concert by Vid. Srinidhi R. Mathur, accompanied by Vid. Adamya Ramanand on mridanga and Vid. Shamith Gowda on ghata. The celebrations will conclude tomorrow (Mar. 1) with Thyagaraja Aradhane along with Goshti Gayana led by Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar. It will be followed by a vocal concert by Vid. N. Srinath, accompanied by Vid. H.S. Thandavamurthy on violin, Vid. M.R. Manjunath on mridanga and Vid. S. Manjunath on ghata.
