Mysuru: The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), Mysuru, is set to host a State-level hackathon themed “Sustainable Solutions for Smart Campus” on Nov. 9.
The event will take place at the H. Kempegowda Indoor Sports Complex in the college campus and is expected to bring together 50 teams from Engineering Colleges across the State.
The hackathon aims to encourage students to design and develop innovative solutions that promote sustainability in smart campus environments. Participants will work intensively on projects that focus on sustainable development, energy efficiency and environmental conservation, with the opportunity to win exciting cash prizes.
The event will kick-off at 9.30 am, with an inaugural ceremony featuring Deepak, Senior Engineer at Mysuru City Corporation (MCC).
Gundappa Gowda, President of Vidyavardhaka Sangha (VVS), will preside over the event, with other key dignitaries including P. Vishwanath (VVS Secretary), Shreeshaila Ramannavar (Treasurer) and Dr. B. Sadashiva Gowda (VVCE Principal) in attendance. The Electrical and Electronics Department will be represented by Dr. Gopal Reddy, HoD, along with faculty members Professors G.K. Savyasachi, R. Avinash, R.P. Karthik and M. K. Bhushit, who are serving as coordinators of the event.
