Mysore/Mysuru: The Mechanical Engineering Department of ATME College of Engineering (ATMECE), Mysuru, organised ‘Yantrix’ a State-level project exhibition and competition for mechanical engineering students.
Students from various engineering colleges participated in the event. ‘Yantrix’ is an annual event at ATME College of Engineering, Mysuru, providing a platform for mechanical engineering students to showcase their ideas and innovations.
It was an opportunity for students to share innovative ideas through their project works. Innovative projects in the fields of agricultural implements, energy saving, environmental protection, 3-D printing and various other manufacturing processes were on display.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. M.R. Haseebuddin, Professor at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE), Bengaluru.
In his inaugural address, he appreciated the efforts of students in completing their project work and exhibiting at the event. He also advised students to keep innovating and updating their knowledge in the ever-growing field of engineering.
Dr. L. Basavaraj, Principal of ATMECE, in his presidential address, emphasised the importance of multidisciplinary skills in the modern technical world.
Dr. M.S. Govinde Gowda, Dean-Academics, and Dr. Sachidanandamurthy, Administrative Officer, were present. Dr. S. Chethan, HoD of the mechanical engineering department, welcomed and M.R. Devaraj proposed a vote of thanks.
The projects were evaluated by two experts, one from academia and the other from industry. The top three projects were awarded cash prizes.
