Mysore/Mysuru: A girl student, who was pursuing her Diploma in Electrical Engineering at a private Engineering College in city, passed away following a massive heart attack yesterday morning.

The deceased girl student is Spandana (19), daughter of Chamarajanagar DAR Head Constable Nanjundappa, a native of Chowdalli in Gundlupet taluk and presently residing at Police Layout (IPS Srinivas Layout) 3rd Stage in city.

She leaves behind her parents, two sisters and a host of relatives and friends.

Spandana, who complained of severe chest pain at about 7.30 am on Monday, was immediately rushed to a private hospital in city, where she breathed her last yesterday morning, sources said.

Last rites were performed at Chowdalli yesterday evening, according to family sources.
