Surabhi Ganakala Mandira is a well-known music institution in Mysuru, which presents very interesting and attractive classical music and musical features two to three times every year. But ‘Surabhi’ could not continue its good practice due to the pandemic. However, ‘Surabhi’ has started its own YouTube channel and is uploading many programmes every now and then. It has already released 97 videos since June 2020 which include Kamalamba Navavarana krithis, Abhayamba krithis, Devi krithis, “Antahpura Geethegalu” of DVG (including a dance feature ‘Bhasma Mohini’) and patriotic songs. All these have been well-appreciated by viewers.

Now, ‘Surabhi’ has started a new series titled “Mugive karava Navagrahagalige” which comprises the singing of Navagraha krithis of Muttuswamy Dixitar, the meaning of the lyrics in Kannada, analysis of the musical and lyrical specialities of each krithi and exclusive discussions on many topics related to Navagrahas. The series was launched on Sept.4 and is spread over 9 weeks. Two krithis and two discussions have been aired since two weeks.
