QR code-based digital map & navigation system
Mysore/Mysuru: In a move to enhance passenger convenience and support the Smart Station initiative, South Western Railway (SWR) Mysuru Division has launched ‘Margadarshak,’ a QR code-based digital map and navigation system at Mysuru City Railway Station.
The innovative and user- friendly system was inaugurated by Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Mudit Mittal in the presence of senior officials and staff. ‘Margadarshak’ helps passengers navigate the station premises effortlessly, much like using Google Maps indoors.
Features of Margadarshak
24×7 Self Service: No need for manual enquiries; passengers can just scan and navigate.
Turn by Turn Navigation: Identify your current location and get directions to platforms, FOBs, water points, waiting halls, catering stalls and more. Multilingual support navigation available in preferred language.
Mobile-Friendly: Scan QR codes placed across the Railway Station to open the map on your smartphone.
Efficient Crowd Flow: Helps decongest passenger movement, especially during peak hours.
With prominently placed QR codes and an intuitive interface, ‘Margadarshak’ ensures a seamless, tech-enabled travel experience for all passengers.
