Mysore/Mysuru: JSS Mahavidyapeetha will be hosting Kalavaibhav-2022, a handloom and handicrafts exhibition, at JSS Urban Haat in Hebbal Industrial Area, from Aug. 12 to 21 under the sponsorship of the Department of Industry & Commerce, Government of Karnataka (GoK), Bengaluru and District Industries Centre, GoK, Mysuru.
More than 70 master craft persons/ weavers/ Co-operative Societies/ Micro Industries from across the country will display their products at a rural ambience and demonstrate their finest crafts work that is set to capture many hearts.
The event will be inaugurated tomorrow (Aug. 12) at 4 pm by G.T. Devegowda, MLA & former Minister. Dr. C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, will preside. Dr. Chandragupta, City Police Commissioner, Mysuru, T. Dinesh, Joint Director, District Industries Centre, Mysuru, G.T. Dinesh Kumar, Commissioner, Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), Shankarappa, Director, General Administration Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Rajashekara, Director, School Education Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Dr. H.R. Mahadevaswamy, Joint Director, JSS Technical Education Division, K.S. Sunil Kumar, Assistant Director, Handicrafts Service Centre, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India (GoI), Mysuru, will be the chief guests.
The exhibition will be kept open for visitors from 10 am to 9 pm daily. There is no entry and parking fee.
