Mysuru; Vijayanagar Police have arrested three youths on charges of stabbing another youth yesterday.

Those arrested are Vinayaka and his two accomplices. The youth, who was stabbed, is 37-year-old Ashith, who is admitted to a private hospital in city.

It is learnt that about 20 days ago, accused Vinayaka had behaved indecently with a girl, who was said to be in love with Ashith’s friend Sujith resulting in a fight between Vinayaka and Sujith.

Sujith had informed about it to Ashith, who had reportedly assaulted Vinayaka about a week back and had issued a warning to Vinayaka to stay away from the girl.

Humiliated and to take revenge, Vinayaka called Ashith over the phone yesterday and abused him using foul language and dared Ashith to come to his house.

Ashith, who took the challenge, went to Vinayaka’s house in Vijayanagar during which wordy duel ensued between them following which Vinayaka and his two accomplices stabbed Ashith.

Vijayanagar Inspector Ravishankar, who registered a case,  has arrested the three and is investigating.
