Mysuru: In separate incidents, two women have committed suicide in city.
In the first incident, a woman, who was working at a mobile phone showroom, committed suicide by hanging self at her Paying Guest (PG) accommodation at Saraswathipuram here on Sunday. The deceased is Geetha (25), a native of Bengaluru. She was working at a mobile phone showroom in Kuvempunagar and was staying at the PG.
As Geetha did not come out of the room, her friend went to Geetha’s room during which the suicide came to light.
Saraswathipuram Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and registered a case based on the complaint given by the PG owner. It is learnt that Geetha was married and her husband was staying in Bengaluru.
In the second incident, a Bengaluru woman committed suicide by consuming poison at the room in a lodge in city. The deceased has been identified as A. Nirmala, a resident of Rajajinagar in city.
In the death note, which was found near the body of the deceased, it was written that her father had not returned the money which he had taken, according to Lashkar Police, who have registered a case.
