Uncleared garbage near Shahida Masjid at Rajivnagar 2nd Stage, 2nd Phase, is causing a lot of problems to the residents as it is emanating foul smell besides wind carrying it to houses. Residents allege that there is no proper door-to-door garbage collection. Garbage is being collected once or twice a week resulting in household garbage being dumped on roadsides and vacant spaces as there are no garbage bins in the area. The residents have urged the authorities concerned to take steps to get the garbage cleared, install garbage bins in the area and also take steps to collect household garbage on a daily basis.
