Sir,
Recently I had the first-hand experience of travelling from Shivamogga by Talaguppa Mysuru Inter-City Express which I feel was the worst experience of train journey in my life. The train no doubt was punctual and fast but the seating arrangements for the coaches were not matching with the speed of the train.
For a day journey of more than 6 hours in a Chair Car, the seating arrangements should have been more comfortable than what was actually provided as the seat sizes both at the back and the bottom were smaller in size with a wide gap in between and were not giving much comfort, particularly to the senior citizens who are sure to suffer from back pain.
Though we consider this as a prestigious train connecting Mysuru-Shivamogga, the two major cities of Karnataka, the Railways have not planned properly. If it was a night journey, people would not mind the pain as they could sleep in the berth and enjoy the journey but when it comes to day journey proper care should have been taken by the Railways that too in a Chair Car.
At least now let the Railways look into the matter and make the journey more comfortable by changing the coaches. Apart from the seats, as the single track to Shivamogga passes through the bushes by the side of the track, lot of dust from the bush enters the train and hence passengers are forced to keep the windows closed throughout the journey and are denied the fresh air. The Railways should take steps to clear the bushes by the side of the track at periodical intervals to avert this situation.
Railways should look for better facility like TV entertainment etc., during the journey which will naturally invite more passengers. They may also initiate steps to prevent from overcharging by the vendors for drinking water bottles and snacks in the train.

ARE YOU CHANGING THE PAPER DAILY CAUSE ISEE THE SAME NEWS DAY INAND DAY OUT
Like wise i travelled with Executive class in Shatapathi, the seats looked good only in picture. The seat cusions were a dry hard sponge like thermacool meterial, which was very unconfortable to sit and travel. I even complaint it to TT and he agreed to it, But he was helpless, it was done of out cheap stuff, even the foot rest, was broken, and the trays were shaking..!
Surely is not the Railway quality, because their quality is hard metal, and you see it so cheaply done, looks like the Railway ministers, made good money out of it. The Authority should really look in to it and report this to make it better.
