This weekend Nadabrahma is presenting two vocal concerts at its premises on JLB Road in city. On Sept.16 (Saturday) at 6 pm, the young Vivek Sadasivam from Bengaluru will present a vocal concert along with R. Achyuta Rao on violin, B.S.Prashanth on mridanga and V.S.Ramesh on morching.
Hailing from a family of musicians, Vivek Sadasivam is a disciple of senior Vidwan R.N. Thyagarajan. Some of the awards and prizes he won are: Ananya Pratibhe Award for ‘Best Vocalist’ in a festival conducted by Ananya, Bengaluru; M.S. Subbulakshmi Fellowship in Music by Shanmukhananda Fine Arts, Mumbai. He is a ‘B’ grade artiste at AIR, Bengaluru. An Engineer by qualification, he has a passion to be a full-time musician.
On Sept. 17 (Sunday) at 5.30 pm, the senior artiste Vani Satish along with C.N. Tyagaraju on violin, Trichy Arvind on mridanga and S. Manjunath on ghata will present the vocal concert.
Endowed with a melodic voice and an excellent tonal quality, Vani Satish instinctively communicates the essence of her talent to the audience with grace and effortless ease. In her music, one can see Karnatak style in its pristine purity. Vani has been performing since the age of 10 and has done many concert tours in North America. She has also been featured in AIR Sangeetha Sammelan, South Zone Doordarshan prime telecast and many TV Channels. Vani, who has lived in USA for 15 years, has taught over 150 students there.
