Sir,
I travelled in Train No. 22694 Rajdhani Express from Secunderabad to Bengaluru by 2AC sleeper on 3rd February in A5 compartment. After clearing the casseroles in which the food had been served, it was seen that the catering staff dumped them in a drum.
The drum had been kept near the toilet door with open lid throughout the journey till Bengaluru – stale food stinking. The toilets were much better without stink or bad smell. That is the comparison.
The train stopped at many places. I felt that this could have been offloaded conveniently to save passengers the stink and in keeping with the standards expected of Rajdhani Express.
We should at least learn from the Airlines who manage this aspect much better (see photos).
I hope this will receive the attention of the Railways immediately and uphold the Swachh Bharat slogan for Rajdhani trains.

Clearly, catering was outsourced to some private parties, and the actual service was carried out by untrained, casual staff. These activities are rarely monitored by responsible supervisors, nobody wanting to be accountable. It is always the guys who pay for these services who eventually suffer. The Railways need to fix responsibility.
we must make the railway minister to travel in this train in AC compartment and then only it may improve.
