Workshop on making clay Ganesha idols held

Mysore/Mysuru: Namma Roopanagara Residents Welfare Association (NRRWA), Mysuru, conducted a workshop on making environment-friendly clay Ganesha idols at Deepa Composite PU College premises in city on Sept.10.

The objective of this workshop was to bring all the residents together and sensitise them on the concept of green environment by using natural clay to make the idols ahead of the Ganesha festival on Sept. 18.

In all, there were 35 participants consisting of all age groups — the youngest being 2.5 years old and the eldest 70-plus.

The resource person for this year’s workshop was Khaju Guttal, a talented sculptor whose exhibits are everywhere in the town and a resident of Roopanagara.
