Wrong posting of Cops at traffic signals

October 11, 2023

Sir,

Many of the junctions of Mysuru roads, where we have working traffic signal lights, we find the Traffic Cops posted there.

Since these Cops do not have any traffic control related work, they while away their duty hours either by using their mobile phones or by chit-chatting with the commercial establishments  in the vicinity.

The Traffic Police Stations concerned should ensure that traffic cops are posted at the junctions where there are no working traffic signal lights.

This will ensure free and smooth flow of traffic especially during peak hours.

Just posting Traffic Police personnel near the working traffic signal lights will not serve any purpose for the motorists or for the pedestrians.
