Mysuru: Prachi, a 10-year-old female Zebra, died at Mysuru Zoo yesterday.

She was pregnant, suffering from intestinal obstruction caused by enteroliths and was under treatment.

She delivered a female foal, but died two days later.

Prachi, which was acquired from Ramat Gan Zoological Centre at Israel on Sept. 4, 2018, had given birth to six    foals at the Zoo.

Prachi’s foal is now being hand-reared at the Zoo.
