Mysuru’s V. Ambika representing Karnataka in the 63rd U-19 National School Games Athletics for boys and girls held at Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex in Rohtak, won the bronze medal in the girls’ shot-put event yesterday.

Poorna Raorase of Maharashtra won the gold with a throw of 13.36m, while Yogha of Haryana won the silver with a throw of 13.13 mts. V. Ambika of Mysuru and a student of Kaveri PU College won the bronze medal with a throw of 12.77 mts. Ambika is being coached by Mohan Kumar in Mysuru.
