October 13, 2025

Mysuru, Oct. 13 (VVH&BCT)- Volunteers of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) took out impressive route marches across several towns and villages yesterday, marking the centenary of the organisation’s founding and the Vijayadashami festival.

In Mysuru, the RSS Mysuru Mahanagar unit organised a disciplined ‘Patha Sanchalana’ (route march) under the slogan “Chanting the ideals of the Sangh, we march steadfastly on the path of purpose.”

The march began from the MysoreOne Centre Ground in Gokulam 3rd Stage, where over 1,200 uniformed swayamsevaks assembled in full RSS attire — white full-sleeved shirts with pockets, khaki trousers, Sangh belts, caps and black boots.

The participants marched in synchrony through major residential areas, displaying remarkable coordination and discipline. The ‘Patha Sanchalana’ was divided into two routes, each covering around 2.7 kilometres before converging back at the starting point. The event began with the unity anthem “Let us forget all differences, we are one…” followed by the verse “God has no caste, nor do His devotees…” The ‘Patha Sanchalana’ concluded with the singing of the RSS song “Namaste Sada Vatsale, Maathrubhume…” before the march commenced.

Route-1 covered 11th Cross, Nandagokula 6th Main Road, Contour Road, Mahadeshwara School Road, Mahadeshwara Temple, Kumbarakoppalu, 1st Main Road, the road behind Kempegowda Stadium, Mahadeshwara 4th Main Road, Trinethra Circle, and turned right via Ganapathi Temple. Route-2 passed via Doctor’s Corner, Gokulam 9th and 8th Cross, Bapat’s House, SBI, Gokulam Main Road, Gokulam Arch, Gokulam 2nd Cross, Sai Baba Temple Road, P&T Colony Main Road, Contour Main Road, Basaveshwara Park and concluded at the grounds via Ganapathi Temple.
