Mysore/Mysuru: After several months of limited activity due to the pandemic last year, Mysuru Rangayana is all set to host Bahuroopi National Theatre Festival in April this year.
Addressing a press conference at Rangayana premises on Wednesday, Rangayana Director Addanda C. Cariappa said, “The Bahuroopi Theatre festival is usually conducted at the start of the year, either in January or February. Last year, in 2020, it was held in the month of February. Due to the pandemic scare, we are now planning to organise the famed theatre festival after the winter, in the month of April this year.”
Rangayana Joint Director V.N. Mallikarjunaswamy, senior Rangayana artiste Geetha Montadka and Arasikere Yogananda were present at the press meet.
Rangayana to stage Arebhashe play Sahebru Bandavre!! today
Karnataka Arebhashe Samskruthi-Sahitya Academy in association with Rangayana Mysuru will be staging Arebhashe play ‘Sahebru Bandavre!!’ today (Jan. 15) at Kiru Rangamandira from 6.30 pm. Virajpet MLA K.G. Bopaiah, President of Kodagu Gowda Samaja Thontabailu Manohar and Academy Chairman Lakshminarayana Kajegadde will be the chief guests for the event, said Rangayana Director Addanda C. Cariappa.
